While searching the internet for hill country waterfront properties, we came across Holly’s website. We found it to be the most “user friendly” realtor site. We called Holly and set up an appointment to gain knowledge of all the different areas within the hill country. When Patti and I decided to change our life style and look toward future retirement, one of the major items we had to consider was the selling of our home. The old saying of 'What's the first thing you do when you decide to sell a home? Find a Realtor! was certainly true for us.
We decided to interview prospective Realtors to see what experience they had with homes in our price range, their success in selling homes in our price range, how they would market the home and the many type of additional amenities we had put into our home (which increased the square footage cost), and just what was our price range. Well, we interviewed some Realtors that were mostly listing agents, agents that were successful in the urban area but not the somewhat rural areas, and one that was recommended to us by our daughters Realtor. That's when we met Holly Hall Wilson.
When we invited Holly to our home to interview her to represent us and sell our home, we asked her if she could come prepared to answer some of these questions. Well, Holly came and not only had answers to our questions, but had the facts and documentation from her research to backup her proposal. She gave us her opinion on how to market the home and showed us her success in marketing and selling similar homes in our area. She also showed us the awards she has consistently won in representing her clients as a successful Realtor.
During the time when Holly had our home listed and sold it, she kept us involved and up to date with its status on a weekly basis. She recommended methods of advertising and resolution of problems we faced in selling the home. Three years ago we were interested in purchasing a weekend place in Wimberley. For a combination of reasons, it did not happen. This year, we decided to make the move to the 'country' from the big city. On the same day that we made this choice, Holly sent us an email to come look at a property for our 'weekend' place. In the past year, I both bought a home and sold a home with Holly. As buyers, my husband and I had specific needs for office, studio and living space, and a strong desire for a spectacular view, river access, or both. About a year and a half ago I decided to put my house on the market and listed it with one of the local realtor agencies I knew to have been in the area a long time. I had very few showings. The few I had were from another agent: Holly.
After 6 months, I decided to list with Holly and see what she could do as it was now fall and not a fast moving time for the housing market. Holly brought over a decorating consultant and together we moved a few pieces of furniture around and rearranged some pictures, which made the house look bigger, brighter, and warmer. She brought over place settings and a centerpiece for the seldom used dining table. She even brought a couple of potted plants for the porch and kept fresh cut flowers in the kitchen.
For the next month or so Holly was showing the house several times a week and soon had several offers. Finally settled on one offering more that I was asking and went to closing in early December.
Holly obviously enjoys her work: you can tell by the enthusiasm with which she puts into it. She looks at selling real estate as a full time business and not just a part-time job.
